- 5 years in agency account service
- 3 years in corporate marketing and fundraising
Ginger Ellis’ passion for client service began as a small child watching her parents interact with customers at the family bakery and restaurant. A strong work ethic and high standards for excellence were ingrained. Ginger graduated from Oklahoma State with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and broadcasting with an advertising option and a minor in marketing.
Ginger worked as a fundraiser and event planner for the American Heart Association when she returned to Wichita after graduation. Her responsibilities included organizing a signature event, managing community volunteers and soliciting corporate sponsorships. The American Heart Walk raised $76,000 in its inaugural year.
As marketing director for Prairie State Bank, Ginger led branding efforts to bring all 11 facilities under a central marketing umbrella. Revamping a dated logo and updating all collateral materials helped unify a fragmented image. Ginger managed all marketing planning, budgeting and media buying for the $215 million bank. In addition, she formulated training topics, developed training materials and coordinated customer service training for 130 staff members.
Ginger’s unique blend of not-for-profit, corporate and agency work gives her a valuable client perspective. Her belief that every dollar spent on advertising and marketing should accomplish a strategic purpose helps her keep clients moving forward. With five years of agency experience, Ginger has served clients across several industries with yearly budgets ranging from $60,000 to $1.3 million. She’s skilled in account service, copywriting, marketing planning, media planning, public relations and event planning.
